RIP Brian Glanville

To those of us who read about football, there’s a fair chance of having read Brian Glanville. I grew up reading Brian’s books, he was a big inspiration in wanting to become a journalist.
My first job on leaving journalism college was as a researcher on the consumer column at The Sunday People. Brian worked there, and he was a total gent, full of advice and with all the stories you’d want from World Cups and so on.
At 94, his was a life well lived. RIP.
