The 2nd season drops to 60%, however accumulated profits can also be counted as income for the purposes of the calculation. We have 9.5m of accumulated profit as of the end of last season and I would expect as to generate more this season and next.
So it would be possible for us to "spend big" compared to most of the division if we chose to for at least a few more seasons. I personally wouldn't think that's a good idea, but should mean we would have some wiggle room in a second season if we still have some players on high wages.
And of course spending big is not the same as spending well.
