    We're going down with Edwards. This will only get harder for him and worse for us. Best for all parties to make the change now.

    Bring in an experienced head who can restore the basics that have gone awry. No gambles on sexy young managers, bring in a tough cnut who's been there and done it.

    A return to the PL is done now. This was our best chance and it's gone. Next season we'll be rejigging our squad to ease into no parachute payments the year before.

    So let's get a solid manager in to stabilise us and keep us a Championship club until PC opens.
