Putting aside whether he's good enough or not, I can see why he might, allegedly, be a bit pissed off.

Signs for progressive club, has decent cameo in the play off final.
Not premiership level so loaned out - fair enough.
Does well so is recalled and loaned to a higher level, and does well there as well.

Is then back with his parent club but told he will be moved on if a replacement can be brought in. From his point of view what more is he meant to do??

A replacement can't be found, so he his kept on, but told to fight for his place. No idea what he's like in training, but he isn't given an opportunity to show what he can do on the pitch, so I can imagine he might well be frustrated
