Well personally I would like RE to be able to turn it around. However - relegation is looking likely right now - and L1 is a tough league to get out of - we could be stuck there for a decade which will in effect undermine the financial model for the stadium. So on the basis that relegation could be a disaster - we will need to spend some money to improve this squad in January or I think we will go down. As to RE can he achieve it?

History suggests that once a Rubicon is crossed then it is difficult to turn back and recreate the trust. It may be possible - look at Steve Cooper at Forest and Moyes at West Ham - both seemed to ride out big storms.

However either way there is no way we are equipped to stay in this league - our midfield is the most lightweight I can remember and I am afraid our defence is so easy to get at it is frightening. Oxford looked as if they could score at will. We have messed up 2 transfer windows - history cannot be changed but any suggestion we have enough to stay up is clearly nonsense no matter who the manager
