The premiership was a free hit and every game was like a cup tie for us and the players, and we could just go for it, but even then he didn’t show the leadership to manage games - so many dropped points at the last few minutes (Liverpool, Arsenal at home, Newcastle and Bournemouth away to name a few).
It’s not just on Rob obviously, the lack of planning for a transition to the Championship has been woeful. Barkley and Lokonga were going to be hard to replace, but the incomings have been nowhere near good enough for the physical battle that is the Championship.
The players also need to take a long hard look at themselves- did some of them think that just because they’d had some plaudits (or sympathy) in the Prem that they are better than they are? (Only Barkley obviously, and Chio going) and now they feel sorry for themselves because they missed out?
It’s been a great ride but maybe it’s time to take a reality check and just be happy that we’re on the Hatters rollercoaster
