    It depends. As an investment, it's price is determined by supply/demand but also because it's seen as a reliable store of value in uncertain economic times, and inflation is rising.
    So do you want to invest in gold to make positive returns? If so I'm sure someone on here can recommend where to get decent advice.
    Do you think we're about to face volatile economic conditions? Maybe. War in Ukraine and Gaza might escalate threatening the price of oil. And if ol' Trumpy gets in to the White House that might cause a few global issues.
    Is inflation going to rise? This ties in to the oil supply issues but also food prices. But the new government seem to be keeping a lid on inflation for the time being. And it looks like they won't be splurging in the autumn budget.
