Look, you should know that I believe in the individuality of everyone; it's at the heart of Christian theology as is the intrinsic value of all people.

However, you cannot possibly govern, or oppose, dealing with every individual person. There has to be a gathering together of certain groups. As such tarring those who supported the previous regime that was responsible for increasing levels of debt, cost of living crisis, increased numbers of mental health problems, ever growing NHS waiting lists, worsening funding crisis in education, deteriorating transport infrastructure, increased air and water pollution, exponential use of foodbanks (the list goes on and on), does not seem unreasonable.

As such it is far more prudent economically to means test benefits. Surely good right wing voters who are supposed to be so prudent with finances would support this? Most pensioners do not need the additional payment. Clearly many do which is why it's important to test. But ultimately if the Tories had looked after our energy production better during their tenure then there probably wouldn't be a need for payment in the first place.
