All I seem to do on here is come on and defend a position, but are we making a mountain out of a molehill here? Apologies if this has already been covered to death...

But the club hired out KR to the FA for this game. So contractually, it's the FA's to do what they wish (within legal/contractual framework) to host THEIR game and then return it as you found it. There may or not be clauses in there from the club about banners or flags etc, etc, It may have been an oversight. Who knows. Who knows if the club hasn't challenged the FA on it?

But if I hired out a venue for a party and it had a 'Cracker is a Knob' flag hanging up, contract or not, I'm probably ignoring it and going to fold it up for my party (i'd also question myself as to why I was hiring such a venue too, which im sure the FA are currently) and then roll it back down at the end.

The point is, we are getting revenue when the ground isn't in use, which let's be honest, doesn't happen at KR very often, for a game that doesn't involve Luton. So what's the issue? Understand wholeheartedly if they made us roll it up for a Luton game, or sky did etc etc. But it's not our game. Its at our ground, yes, but we've hired it to the FA.

I am not advocating forgetting, not on your nelly, but are we getting a little upset over something that wasn't massively in our control? And I should imagine that the club/caterers/sponsors etc want to host future games, as its new revenue potential and gives us better commercial opportunities in future surely?

I've made this point before, but the club really have dropped the ball on fan engagement and management. They used to be brilliant at it, got 90% of the things right for a good few years. It just feels like it's much more of a closed shop now, which is very un Luton-like. The strategy needs a real re-think and get back to being more local and supporter engagement lead rather than believing the premier league billy big bollocks rhetoric.

I'm not massively bothered about it myself, but the lack of handholding fans over the kit deals is worrying. Just no PR on it at all. Maybe there isn't much they can say? But they can say something to help appease and get people on board, even if it actually says very little. Where has the art of PR gone? Have we spent the budget on glossy social media bits instead?
