Originally Brigg Hatter came up with the suggestion of a giant flag and put in a large percentage of the cost with the message board contributing the balance.
Brigg Hatter kept hold of the flag after the JPT. LLSC thought it should be on display in the ground and approached Brigg Hatter who wanted to recover his initial investment to allow this to happen, so LLSC paid him off in order to get the flag up on display where it should be.
