I replied that it doesn't seem to be the case, and given we know that usually new kits are ordered around December time, why didn't the club simply place an order for more? The Trusts argument was we're lower down kit providers priorities than the bigger clubs, but I pointed out that while we might be behind West Ham, we're surely above Carlisle who announced their kit in June and have it in stock.
I said I don't think the club or trust have been truthful with the reasons why.
One further point was that the club have to submit replica shirts to the EFL 3 weeks before the start of the season, but they didn't make any public announcement to fans until a week before. Why did the club sit on the kits for 2 weeks? My theory is that they knew we wouldn't have stock until September(!) so by delaying the announcement they are minimising the delay.
