    To judge on the opening chords is an obvious way to miss out.
    When I was young and I bought an LP, I would often play it, only knowing the "hit". So on first listen it would be something like, Good, good, OK, awful, good, OK, good, etc. But given time, the "awful " one, was the grower and became the favourite.
    Nowadays, with downloads/streaming and whatever else there is, it will be easy to delete/ignore the potential grower. Sad state of affairs.
