    Ten years of success

    Realised last night that a decade of winning most games and then a season in the Premier League is a very long period of success and some supporters have never known anything different.

    Walking away from the game last night I heard someone - not even that young, about 20 perhaps - say "I can't decide if that or Brentford last season is the worst game I've ever seen".

    His dad said "well you weren't there when we lost at home to Nuneaton!"

    For me the really bad times seem very recent and I'm still riding a permanent high based on the general level of the club and quality of players now. I'm only in my mid 30s and my first 10 or 15 years of supporting Town was mostly utter fecking shite, with the brief Kinnear-Newell era a happy blip.

    Hadn't really occurred to me until last night that we have a whole generation of fans who have only known success, and their expectations are through the roof. Seems mad to me to be miserable about a team with players like Chong and Kaminski in it when not long ago I thought Lloyd Owusu was the answer, but that's not the case for younger folk.
