    Luton want to buy a CDM worth £7m. Luton offer £4.5m. Do you:
    (A) Tell Sweet “I might have haggled at the start of the window, but I saw last night you lot are desperate. £7m or nothing.”
    (B) Sell at £5m because you’ve heard about trusting the process and have faith in it.
    Much as 2020’s negotiations have clearly been brilliant in the past, January and this window have proved new tactics are necessary. Any bargains we might have got at the start of the window are lost now. Any agent will be adding 15-20% to the values for Luton, because we’re clearly desperate to get warm bodies into the squad now.
