Is Edwards the messiah we thought he was?

He basically took on Jones’ team and was helped out massively by using his Villa contacts to get Nakamba.

Got a free ride in the prem because of the ‘little Luton’ image and other factors like Lockyer, injury crisis etc.

Found out massively when it mattered last season, couldn’t hold a draw to save his life, got tactically done by both Burnley and Sheff U at home.

No way would a NJ team rolled over like that and lost 1-4 to Burnley.

1 win in 18, conceding an average of 3 per game, yet because he’s media trained, handsome and had ‘great chats with Jurgen, Pep and Mikel’ last year, he gets off the hook. Was so reliant on the quality of Barkley and Lakonga last year to make anything happen. Persists playing this high press 5-back system - (which even Klopp told him was crazy), and keeps pissing points up the wall.

Just something to think about.
