    Only if you're incredibly thick or just devoted to not paying attention.

    PC was fully funded. However, the Prem/parachute money ensures that we can now afford some of the 'nice to haves' that we might have had to do without. Also that some of the funding that might have been a matter of necessity rather than preference can now be covered by our own money.

    We will have a slightly enhanced budget but it will only cover what it can cover. We can't have ten CBs for example, just because pissy pantses demand cover, because they won't fit into the squad. Same as for most positions. I personally think that we could do with one CB, a decent DM and wing back cover for both sides, preferably predominantly left- footed. I don't think that's wildly optimistic but it probably requires a difficult decision over at least one player.

    It's not FM, chaps, it's real life.
