- Bag of a fag packet Luton figures
100m for going go up plus another 38m to be received very shortly if not already for the first instalment of parachute payments
138m + 9m sales (Giles Barkley) = 147m income
(This doesn’t take into account ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorship, etc etc as I would be completely guessing).
Less
Signings - 25m (or so we believe)
Player Wage bill - 25m (I’m told the cap is 25k a week. Taking an average amongst the 25 players of £17500k a week and rounded up)
Staff wage bill - 5m
Cost to rebuild the bobbers - 10m
Leaves 80 odd million.
Seperately the club made a profit of 53m on Newlands park per the accounts you can check on companies house.
If anyone has a better idea I would be interested to hear it but the point I’m trying to make is that there must be some funds for transfer fees and if not, I suggest the club would be better being a bit more transparent if it all needs to go to the new ground. Originally we were informed that Newlands park and the residential element of power court funded the new ground in its entirety.
Welcome sensible contributions as to where this might be completely wrong…
