There will probably never be another British musician like him.
From Alexis Korner onwards, he seemed to gather almost all of the best blues singers and musicians around him, with a succession
of wonderful bands.
A bit later, after moving to the US, he produced the magical album "Blues from Laurel Canyon".
I count myself lucky that I managed to see a couple of versions of his band playing live.
