- An apppreciation of "These are the good old days"
If you have not read it, I strongly urge you (and anyone else with an interest in LTFC) to buy it ASAP.
For those who don't know the background, KC is a long-time Town supporter who has for over a decade published his musings on The Hatters under 'leftmidfield.blogspot.com' and elsewhere. The book covers a series of jottings over the period from the dark days of January 2011, right through to a certain day in May 2023, with all the ups (lots of them!) and occasional downs during that time. The second edition was produced to include the happy series of events leading to the Promised Land.
Kevin is a wonderful writer, and his first version of this book rightly received high praise from Simon Akam, writing in Newsweek.
The book not only evokes some wonderful memories (and some very annoying events/personalities), but describes them in an extremely witty and very readable way. It is an outstanding (and probably never-to-be-rivalled) record of one of the most (possibly THE most) astonishing achievements in English football history, and deserves to be read by everyone with an interest in football, but particularly by all Luton fans.
Thank you so much, Kevin (although I don't know you personally) for putting all of this wonderful story together and giving me the opportunity to reminisce in my dotage!
