Indeed, I was generalising, but as we can see with the teams anchored in the Championship, parachute payments guarantee nothing, except, and very importantly in our case, a new stadium.
The defeat in itself is neither here nor there ( although I hate us losing anything), but the immediate effect on our morale is of concern.
In his post- match interview RE looked and sounded like a very worried man.
