If you read my message the underlying tone from the stuff I've read about the case and the lads in question you would realise that, from what I've understood, Thompson was the leader and Venables went along. I haven't ever tried to defend or suggest either were not guilty and frankly, if you were following the lead if someone else you're not likely to stand up to that person in a context like this.

I wish more people would stop and think about it rather all jump on the hatred band wagon. We're all disgusted at the horrific crime but it's how you respond that is very telling.
