When we were deducted 30 points in (2008?) the Times ran an editorial saying it was wrong headlined something like

Who breaks a butterfly on a wheel?

This was a play on the famous Times opinion piece on Mick Jagger being sentenced to 3 months in prison on drugs charges. The essence of it was this is ludicrously disproportionate.

So I think the Times qualifies.
