Yes, they can. We're not going to just chuck a load of money about. If they want to give him 3-4 times his current wages, it's extremely unlikely that we'd get into a bidding war with them.

I'd imagine his contract contains clauses that increase his wage in the event of us getting promoted and that's what we'd be happy to pay him. We're not going to go way beyond that, just because Leeds fancy him.

If you're going to prattle on about football, in general, and Luton Town, in particular would you do us all the favour of paying attention to how we go about these things?
