    With the right private healthcare and surgeon it was a mere few weeks before I was back up and walking. Those Harley street chaps are very good you know and a whizz with pain relief (sorry about that).

    I was back up and playing the next season and it’s been fine ever since. Skiing was even ok.

    Whether I would want to be a professional footballer facing that injury is another thing and that was my original point.

    You may think you can have the last word but if it’s nasty and rather unnecessary then whatever floats your boat.

    I wasn’t aware you had the means to censor anything that doesn’t quite suit your agenda but I ain’t going to stop talking about football.
