There's a fascinating tribute/report in today's Guardian, which gives a very good account of his contribution to Procul Harum over many years (my personal favourite is probably "Broken Barricades", though there were many other goodies besides "A Whiter Shade of Pale"). Quite surprised, also, to learn that he was behind John Farnham's "You're The Voice".
