I kind of did roll my eyes a bit when it was suggested on here that he probably won’t last until the 5th round game (irrespective of whether it’s v us or Grimsby) but with that bizarre presser after the game yesterday, I think it’s highly unlikely he will still be in charge then.

If we do get past Grimsby, it would have been a bit of an awkward encounter for all concerned because his ex-players here could have essentially put him out of a job by beating him. And I suspect they all have a good relationship with him.

Of course, football is football and there is no room for friendship on the pitch, but it’s probably better for all concerned if this situation never arises now.
