The narrative goes that when Sunderland or whatever bring 4000 to Fulham they’ve all taken a day off work and travelled all day on a coach, committing all their disposable income for the next 3 years. Truth is almost certainly that the vast majority of them left Sunderland for the money years ago (or their parents did) and they actually live in reading or whatever.
People leave places like Plymouth and Sunderland, that’s the flow of migration. It’s more of a comment on the dire need to level up than claiming that Plymouth fans are more passionate than anyone else.
