This is from a very amateur view but I am beginning to notice the tactical tweaks that RE is making to the side.

Last season Jones turned us into a very high pressing side with lots of intensity. This worked for the majority of the season but I sensed sides were beginning to work us out a bit at the end.

Noticeable this season, the opposition rarely played out from the back, negating our high press. Coincidentally, our best two home performances have come against Norwich and QPR. Two sides who wanted to play football from the back.

RE alluded in a recent interview that he wanted to use his cenre halves to overload the midfield and wide area's. That was really noticeable the other night, Burke popping into higher central and wide area's and Bell inner-lapping Doughty.

He also seems to be playing both wing-backs higher up the pitch.

This obviously leaves us potentially exposed to the quick counter, particularly at home. This is where a top not notch holding midfielder is invaluable to the tactical set up of the team.

If Marvelous can do a job here, I think we could see a very entertaining second half of the season.
