Yep, agree

I recently made a comment to a mate of mine who is a Liverpool fan (he does go to games to be fair) that football is just taken far too seriously these days - by pundits, social media and normal media, in general

He looked a bit puzzled (being a Liverpool fan, I wasn't shocked). Look at those earnest and po-faced pundits on Sky. Micah Richards tries to be lighter but everyone else (Souness being the worst) - fukking hell it's like they're analysing some serious world event or a state funeral or something

Fans now take it all to seriously too because of these influences and because the finances in the game make failure potentially very bad for a football club. Fukk's sake it's supposed to be a hobby and a laugh
