    Like most I was disappointed to see Cornick go, as I do not believe we have brought in the same quality for this position at present, although it may turn into a very astute piece of business.

    However, if you read his comments made to the Bristol press, it is very clear either he or his agent had spoken with him and he was likely to join them in the summer. It was just brought forward, as they had sold Antoine Semenyo. So why not get a fee even if a small one for a young replacement, who may not be affordable in the summer?

    The fee received has probably also funded the salary of Marvellous, who does look like a player who could massively improve the squad
