    Wish him well, he’s done a job for us but don’t understand the meltdown about his leaving.
    Do we know how much the fee is?
    His scoring record over his career at Luton alone and then when including his other league matches are remarkably similar. 1 goal every 6.17 appearances. Stats suggest last season May have been an outlier.
    Now i know he brings other attributes and his scoring record alone is a blunt instrument but he’s not exactly prolific.
    I can remember many times when we have sold real irreplaceable superstars of the team. This is not one of those occasions.
    I think it may have been David Pleat who said one of the skills of being a manager is making sure a players legs go on someone else’s pitch, not yours.
