Back in the 'good old days' I remember some games in the top flight when the atmosphere was shit and that was with terracing and all that

You don't even have to go back that far for a decent night game atmosphere. Boxing Day against Norwich

Admittedly it's been flat since the turn of the year. Dunno why. Maybe the indifferent home form has contributed to a nervousness around the ground

Soton - Newcastle 1st leg last week had a poor atmosphere and that was a semi-final
