Try this test.If the lead character in a film /TV series/play etc.is female how would you feel if a male was playing the part and all the villains/stupid/cowardly parts were played by females? A bit over the top?
I am all for strong female leads as long as there is a balance between the other characters portrayed in a story.It seems to me that writers currently try to address what was a male dominated past by pushing an agenda that alienates men. As for the myriad of other non binary/self identifying human beings that that will take over in the future I hope they find an audience that that appreciates their diversity. I feel much better now!
