    Fifty Years Ago Today.

    Two memorable things happened :
    1. Luton won a home league match for the first time since mid -September. We beat Forest 1- 0 courtesy of a goal from Alan Slough. In the Sunday People next day, their goal keeper,Jim Barron, was given 10 out of 10 - for his performance - almost unheard of then.
    2. Playing for the Barbarians against The All Blacks, Gareth Edwards scored a try, rounding off what is probably the best passage of play in Rugby Union history. Check it out on the BBC Sport website today.
