Just seen a post where someone basically compares the Holocaust to what is going in at the Palace Lodge. The insinuation that people who are against this step are racists is absolute madness. Residents of Dunstable have every right to complain about this step and to suggest they are racist in doing so is disgusting.

Immigrants come here for one reason, they know they will get handouts left right and center and they know they will end up being given a home. Anyone who thinks any different is mad. To think that there are young, hard working people who struggle to get on the housing ladder because of high rates and prices will never be able to do so, but someone can claim asylum and will more than likely end up with a home and all their bills being. The government take this step at this time when some people are dealing with soaring bills and inflating prices.Then they happily pay for migrants to live in a warm home free of charge and pay them to do so.

I wonder how many of the new homes in Houghton Regis will go to immigrants now?
