    In the unlikely event that for some unfathomable reason it is revealed in the media that I appear to have lent a sum of money to Boris Johnson, I would like it to be known that :-

    Even if such a loan did actually take place, I would never knowingly have arranged it, I would certainly have had absolutely nothing to do with it . I would have had not the slightest idea where the money came from nor have had anything to do with any arrangements for actually paying any money from my bank account to the former Prime Minister.
