Disagree. If he’s out of contract in the summer, then we are likely to only receive a small fee for him in January; moreover, taking into account the sell on fee that villa are due to receive, it doesn’t make much sense financially.

Also, losing one of our best players in January, when we are firmly in play off contention, could result in a significant backward step for the team. If we were to get promoted, he would almost certainly sign a new contact, and the prize money for promotion would be substantially higher than any fee we would receive by selling him.
