Yes, I agree that criticising the team selection even after we had won is fairly daft! Besides, the manager is best-placed to decide what the right lineup is. He sees them in training in-between matches, after all. If someone played brilliantly in the last match but then got cocky and put in no effort in training, maybe he should be dropped but we wouldn't understand why. Equally, someone who had a total disaster last time out might have responded in the right way and been absolutely brilliant in training so deserves to play. Or someone might simply not be fit enough to last more than 30 minutes, but is considered worth having on the bench in case we need someone to come on and change the game after an hour. So many things which we simply can't know, but the manager can. It doesn't mean he will always get it right, but he has more chance of being right than we do!
