He co-wrote one of the great West Coast songs and was still performing it just a few years ago...

(The Jefferson Airplane version is the best)

His recordings with Jerry Garcia on 'If I could only remember my name' are brilliant too.

Unfortunately like so many of that cohort, utterly undone by drugs. Though that was part of their creativity too of course.

RIP Mr Crosby. Doubtless you're already falling out with everyone wherever you are now....
