For what it’s worth, I am of the opinion that, as a club, we are far more than the Nathan Jones show- he played his part in our recent history and certainly earned his keep. Whatever, we move on.

I have long been of the opinion however, that there should be some rule in place that restricts clubs to only sacking/changing managers during pre-season. Put simply, you have your man in place at the start of the season, you stick with him. Made a mistake? Tough, you should have got it right, start looking at who you want in for next season.

As it stands, one club decides they’re turfing their man out, then they wade in and potentially derail another club’s season as a result(not saying that will happen to us, but Southampton couldn’t care less if it did).

Prime example is Potter to Chelsea. “We’ve binned our bloke and have deep pockets, so f*ck you, we’re having your man”. You can’t just nick other clubs players whenever you feel like it, so why is it ok to poach a club’s entire coaching staff as and when?
