Given the farcical idiocy of life in the UK during recent years, it's small wonder they feel they are running out of new gags. In practice, most public figures seem for a long time to have been doing a near-perfect job of parodying themselves, so it's fairly pointless trying to make fun of them.
I shall miss the dry humour of Hugh Dennis, the perennial banter between Dara and various panellists, and - in particular - the weird, off-the-wall jokes of Milton Jones. But, on the whole, it has been going downhill for a while now (parallelling the country?), and maybe it is time to call it a day. Sad.
