Going back to Ladies Football, I reckon the first post nails the reason why it will never get big. In many ways football support and spectating live is tribal. I travel from Southampton to see MY home town club, hoping they play well and win, biting my nails, riding all the passion from the past but even if they play poorly for weeks on end so what, it’s THE team and all that goes with it I go to see.

The women’s game yesterday was good and entertaining to watch as an international event but reckon that is a long way from getting significant support at club level. Hope more girls do get involved. We have seen too many “legacies” fizzle away.
