Mobile telephones still have a speaker at the ear end and a microphone at the mouth end, right?

And a modern smartphone is pretty ergonomic with regard to getting the two things pretty near to where they want to be, right?

So, why do so many people insist on holding the thing a yard away from their face and shouting at it, while the person on the other end is on loudspeaker?

Do they imagine that everyone wants to hear their, entire, inane, bullshit, conversation?

Satire is dead. Dom Joly couldn't take the piss out of this any more than Spitting Image could come up with anything more ridiculous than the current 'leadership' contest.
