They got 20 top amateur refs. Split them into 2 groups of 10 and played them a game they hadn’t seen. One in silence. One with the sound of the crowd. And made them give decisions on a live basis. Every single ref in the group with the crowd on gave more decisions to the home team than the other group did. It must sway them when thousands of people scream for a foul/handball they think they’ve seen.
