“The opening of a banking account was then discussed by Committee after which it was thought to be the easiest and safest method that could be adopted. It was therefore resolved that a banking account be opened forthwith with Messrs Sharples, Tuke, Lucas and Seebohm”.
The bank stood at 28 George Street and was taken over by Barclays Bank who remain on the site today.
