when i heard those on the council get as much paid for a 2 hour afternoon meeting than i got for a 20 hours weeks work,home carers would be missed far more than a canceller,if there was a strike,I alway said if unison called a strike,i would still work and look after the people,couldnt leave people unable to get out of bed and get a meal,one time unison said we could work if they called a strike,i was quite shocked when I heard only 2 carer plus myself were in a union

I'm actually sad about that Norma.

I respect Starmer a lot for his demeamour, intelligence and even his handling of the Labour Party. However, in a Tory driven news, coming from every information outlet, he hasn't a chance.

I do dislike the way he's using the King and the Royal family. Bit hypocritical from someone who isn't a believer in Monarchy.

Who would have a chance? I'm not sure there is anyone out there, strong enough, to combat the endemic Toryism of the Uk these days.

I have a soft spot and a political respect for Andy Burnham but I do wonder if he's strong enough to take on the Tory press.
