Litherland Green Sefton Street/Field Lane Junction

The council offices (Litherland House) can be seen in the background.

The sundial is visible to the right of the fingerpost.

Only a guidepost (fingerpost) remained when the green was removed for road improvements at the junction.

dont remember tha grass ever having a low fencebut it a long time since i was there,

It was removed way before the war memorial was erected in 1924
