New Ferry

Ronnie. I see you are moving into the big time with a new Cal. Mac ferry. Hopefully it will not have the problems that the Clyde built ferry has.

Yes, John – it came into service today: MV "Isle of Islay."

It can't berth at the Port Ellen pier; the ferry is too big. It can, however, berth at the other port on Islay, Port Askaig.

Construction starts on a new pier at Port Ellen (me) in June for 120 million.

Another new ferry for Islay is near completion in Turkey: MV "Lochiel"

The folk of Islay chose the names from 6 names.

I chose the Isle of Islay and Lochiel.

The Lochiel was an Islay ferry from years ago, long before I moved here.

Like that Ronnie. Build a new ferry and it is too big for the Quay. Think I have heard that before.

Loved the ferry to new brighten from Liverpool and the onein hong kong fronm the island to where we lived to kowloon
