Wont be watching that its an RAF camp,so different to an army Camp,when they came in the Nafie the officers stood in the line with the men to be served,I worked in the shop,The CO had there own part of the Naafi,pS i worked in both Army and Raf

Thanks Ronnie. I remember the programme very well and enjoyed it.
And yes, chips were a main feature on the the menu every night in the Airman's Mess. Matter of choice really. I would vary my choice of chips dependant what else I had on my plate.

when working in the naafi shop,if you went for meal with the manager,you sat in the best part,go by yourself,sat with the lower ranks,I was only at the RAF camp for a short time,till i was sent to Fulwood barracks,Army,the cook there made the best chips, pastry,Female cook,
