I paid a nostalgic visit to Walker's Mission in 2003, attending the Sunday service.
After the service, I was shown around by a lovely lady, Mary Cotton (deceased).
I corresponded with her for a few years via email, and she sent me material from their archives about the Great War and Linacre Mission men who had served.
The brass plaques above the two doors are memorials to the Linacre Chums who fell; I took photos of them and have the list of names.
The place hadn't changed much from what I could recall from the 1950s; the Sunday School room looked much the same.
I did the research on the Linacre Mission Memorial for the names on ther memorial. Over 100 names are on the brass plaques. Some of them are mentioned on other Litherland memorials as well.
